Karen’s Maternity Portraits

It is so hard to believe that Karen will be a mommy literally any day now!  She is so so tiny!  I think my mouth hung open a little when she told me that her due date is next week!   I am so glad we were able to get her in before her little girl arrives!

Casey and Shyla

Casey got married back in September, but unfortunately her photographer’s camera broke just before the ceremony!! She called us and we were happy to do a portrait session for her and her daughter in their beautiful dresses!  It breaks my heart that they don’t have these images from the wedding day, but I am just happy we were able to capture some great portraits of these beautiful girls!

The Lawson Boys

The Lawson Boys were back in the studio!  This time for thier holiday portraits!  At almost three and almost one, getting a portrait of siblings together is like herding cats, but I seem to always catch a lucky break or two with these boys!   Even if a few of them appear to be rather violent hugs!

Alisha & Dustin

Forever and always when I think of Alisha and Dustin’s wedding, I will hear Dustin’s voice saying “Hoooly Cow!”  You also have to imagine it with an adorable southern accent to get the idea.  From the decor to Alisha’s sexy reception dress, they all got his patented reaction.

Instead of flowergirls, they had flower fairies.  Seriously, are these two not painfully cute!?

The entire day was punctuated with the vivid colors of fall.  The amazing attention to detail really made the event special.

The ceremony ended right at sunset, so we only had a few moments of light for portraits.

As the night air cooled, the warmth of the galleria reception really made you feel like the affair was so intimate and loving.  The colored lights and warm details all gave a feeling of closeness.

Since we were cheated on the daylight portrait time, we made up for it after dark!

The Ray Family

Saturday morning was time for the annual Ray Family portrait!  We had been planning for weeks to do the session at the old Capitol… only to realize that all of downtown was blocked off for FAMU homecoming!  A quick venue switch to Goodwood and we were good to go!

The Fasig Family

We were so lucky Friday afternoon that the rain held out long enough to photograph the Fasig Family for their holiday cards!  I have been looking forward to this session for so long, I was really worried the weather would throw us for a major loop!

Baby Claire

Two week old Baby Claire is WAYYY into what’s going on around her.  Most babies her age will sleep through their entire session– not Miss Claire!  We had to work and work to get her to nod off for a few minutes, but it was so worth it!  Seriously, how cute is this little angel!?
