Leah & Ryan

So, on Friday I Facebooked how excited I was to be shooting Leah & Ryan’s wedding the next day. I got tons of messages asking what was up? What extravaganza was I photographing? I had to giggle every time– it wasn’t about the locations, decor or any other detail of the event, it was Leah & Ryan I was so excited about! They are such a super cool couple, they always make me laugh and they have fun wherever they go. Sounds like an awesome wedding to me!

Trinity Reformed is such an awesome church for photographs! Normally, we get a lot more light through the amazing windows, but just before the ceremony a thunderstorm blew in and it was almost completely dark outside! leahryan10 leahryan8 leahryan9 leahryan19

We had the best time with Leah and Ryan’s portraits! Just a few minutes at the church and then over to the very wet Retreat at Bradley’s Pond. leahryan18

Yippee!

September 26, 2009 – 10:07 am

We have had a really great week and we thought we would share some of the excitement!

We found out that we received honorable mention in the Tallahassee Magazine, “Best Of Tallahassee” Contest. Thank you to everyone who wrote in for us! Y’all are the best!

We also won three Print of the Month categories at the Tallahassee Professional Photographer’s Meeting–

We are also nominated again this year for the Tally Award! We definitely want to be a two time winner, so be sure to go vote at www.tallyawards.com! Baby Camden

Heart Gallery- Brianna

Founded over eight years ago, the Heart Gallery is photographic exhibit created to find forever families for children in foster care. The nationwide project includes more than 120 local Heart Galleries and is designed to increase the number of adoptive families for children needing homes in our community. Leading the local Heart Gallery project is the Tallahassee Junior League and Long’s Photography is proud to be their partner photographer.

As part of the project, I have the distinct joy of photographing these amazing children and sharing my art with our community. I don’t think I could ask for a better gift than to be able to be part of this amazing project. I was so incredibly in awe of our first Heart Gallery participant, Miss Brianna. Brianna has one of the sunniest personalities you have ever seen. She is mature beyond her years and surrounds those around her with an infectious sense of joy and laughter. Not only is she incredibly beautiful and kind, but also strikingly smart! She loves science and plans to be a pharmacist. I don’t think I was anywhere as put together and on target as Brianna is at her age. I think this dynamo is really going to go far and show the world a thing or two!

Miranda

Occasionally I put out a model call on Facebook or the blog, when I have an idea in my head that I really want to try. Miranda volunteered to come into the studio to let me play and we had such an awesome session. Miranda is absolutely beautiful on the outside, but she is as sweet as she can be on the inside. Savannah and Toby

I have photographed Savannah since she was only a few days old, so its always fun to get her and her new baby brother back in front of the camera! We had kind of a double session yesterday, we got Toby’s 6 month portraits in, but we also got their holiday card image done. How fun! And for all of you who are thinking “Holidays already, its not even Halloween!” , there are only 91 days until the big day!! Which for a photographer means, OH GRACIOUS! CRUNCH TIME!

Jenn & Nick

Jenn and Nick are a super awesome couple who I LOVE hanging out with, but I have to be honest… their new puppy Stella TOTALLY stole the show at their engagment session! A six week old chocolate lab, how much cuter can you get!? Jenn & Nick were pretty cute too, but I think I prefer snuggling the puppy!
