We finished our week at St. George Island with an awesome portrait session with the Smith Family. They are so much fun, I had the best time playing, borrowing docks and just generally being silly.

I have been photographing the Wheeler Family for more than two years now, and I realized on Saturday that I have never once photographed Maura and Jason! Only the kids! So, it was really great to include them in the beach session, even though poor Jason just had surgery so he was hobbling around in the sand on crutches– poor guy!

I was so surprised when I looked at the beach portrait sessions- all but one of the sessions were for clients we have worked for before! It was really great to meet the Reilly family and play on the beach– two year old boys can definitely be a challenge, but we got some adorable shots!

The sun was definitely out on Tuesday for the Farout Family’s portrait session! Thank goodness the heat still held off! We had a great time hiking all over the beach, borrowing someone’s boardwalk and generally blocking all the foot traffic.

Our first beach session of the week was Sunday evening and just an hour before the session the skies turned dark and it started to rain. Olyn and I anxiously watched the skies until moments before the session when it miraculously cleared up! We had the softest light and an empty beach to photograph one of my all time favorite families– it was a photographer’s heaven!

We have really been looking forward to Jordan and Nick’s wedding for months. They are such an adorable couple and we always have the best time with them! Jordan can also keep up with Olyn’s warped sense of humor, so they are a riot together! The day started off with a bit of rain, but by ceremony time it was sunny and mild outside. Yes, mild in Tallahassee in July! It was glorious!
Jordan and Nick broke from tradition and chose to see each other before the ceremony. Trying to still give her a surprise, we had Nick come from the opposite direction than what Jordan expected.
We then had a few moments alone for their portraits.
It has been so hard keeping Jordan’s awesome bridal shoot under wraps! We took the beautiful bride over to Shiloh Farm a few weeks ago and the results are stunning!
Kelly Trotman with Bella Flora did an awesome job with Jordan’s flowers!
Just before the ceremony, Olyn spent the last few moments with Jordan and her dad.
While I photographed the recessional, Olyn captured this moment of Jordan and Nick in their limo.
The reception kicked off immediately with lots of great food and music. I loved Jordan and Nick’s emotional first dance.
Tiki did an amazing job with the cake!

Jordan and Nick had really great examples with both their parents marriages, it was so sweet to see how much in love they still are!
The night ended with a sparkler farewell and a great kiss!

Baby Sophia always brightens my day when she comes by the studio. She is so sweet and smiley, you just have to love her! Now that she is nine months old, she is one active lady! We totally gave her mom a workout trying to corral her! :) So, from Mommy Janette to all other mommies– once you pass the six month session, the shoots are a workouts for the moms! Come prepared to break a sweat!
