Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  We hope you all have a chance to slow down and enjoy time with your family and friends.  We are officially closed until Monday, spending some much needed downtime with our family.  If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to email us as we will continue to check email several times a day.  If you call, we will be returning all calls on Monday morning.  :)

Baby Isabella

I was so excited to meet Baby Isabella yesterday– I love her mommy so much, I knew I would just fall in love with her as well!  She is now three weeks old and absolutely beautiful!  She was a bit out of sorts when she got here, but we got her to fall asleep and she looks like an absolute angel!

Katy and Tyler

As an artist, I need time to recharge my creativity– to play, experiment and truly enjoy my craft without restrictions, responsibilities and pressure.  Thanks to my dear friend, Terri, I had that chance yesterday.  I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot a beautiful wedding here in Tallahassee.  A special thank you to the bride and groom, Katy and Tyler, for allowing me to share in their day!

Love the reflection of the rings on the table.

Katy’s beautiful gown:

The light at the Governor’s Inn was so beautiful!

A few quiet moments before we went outside.

Katy carried her great grandmother’s hankerchief.

Missy Gunnels did her usual– an amazing assortment of bouquets, bouts and centerpieces.  I am so envious of her amazing talent!

Katy and Tyler had their first date at Andrew’s.  They decided to see each other before the ceremony and what better place than Andrew’s?

Katy loves photography and she gave us so much time for portraits– we did some downtown, some at Westcott and some outside the church.  It was such an awesome time and really allowed us to create some beautiful images!

Watching Terri in action was an absolute hoot!  Here is an example of Terri posing her couple…

I love ceremonies at St. Paul’s Methodist Church.  The light is absolutely beautiful and the blue walls have such an airy feeling.

Katy and Tyler had the most awesome favors I have ever seen– each box included desserts from their family recipes.  They were absolutely adorable and incredibly yummy!

Katy and Tyler’s first dance was to a beautiful Michael Buble song, even though I had only met them you could see how perfectly it suited them.

Probably my favorite image of the day, I just love this shot of Katy dancing with her dad– you can even see their reflection in the window.

Lindsay and Brandon

We braved the cold again Thursday afternoon for Lindsay and Brandon’s engagement portraits.  We had a blast hiking all over downtown in rush hour… and I learned that you have to wait like 10 minutes for a cross walk signal at Monroe Street.  I don’d think I will ever blame jaywalkers again!

The Turner Boys

I spent Thursday afternoon at Railroad Square Art Park wirth the Turner Boys.  They are so funny and so different.  With six years between them, they are probably as different as two boys can be!  I has a great time getting to know each of them and I think we got some great portraits of them!

Baby Madisyn

Baby Madisyn just makes me giggle!  She is so incredibly cute!  She was in the studio this week for her nine month portrait session and absolutely made my day!  Her mom was telling me that Madisyn isn’t crawling yet… she prefers to sit and yell at everyone to bring her whatever it is that she wants.  How can you not love an infant diva??  :)
