Tracye & Adam

Probably the biggest compliment a wedding photographer can ever receive is to be hired to photograph another wedding photographer’s wedding. That is just what I did on Friday for Trayce and Adam and I have to admit it was both wonderful and stressful. So many of Tracye’s family and friends had assisted her at weddings so they were all so sympathetic to the job I had to do and were amazingly helpful. But knowing a colleague is on the other side of the lens definitely adds a but of pressure!

Tracye, Adam and most of their guests had spent the entire week before the wedding at the house in St. Joe Beach, just outside of Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe. Tracye looked so beautiful with her summer tan– you could really tell that the week of relaxation had been a great idea!

Trayce and Adam decided to see each other before the ceremony, so we went out on the beach so they could have some alone time.

We then took the bride, groom and bridal party down the street to a brand new resort, Windmark Beach, for their portraits.

We were a bit behind schedule all day, but it was just one of those weddings that it didn’t really matter. Everyone was there on vacation, so there was a relaxed feel to the entire day. It actually worked to our favor that the ceremony was delayed– it cooled off a bit and allowed the sun to set a little!

After the ceremony, as the guests made their way through the buffet line, Tracye, Adam and I snuck back out to the beach for the sunset.

Back inside, the couple shared their first dance as the last rays of sun set over the Gulf.

Once the sun had already set the clouds turned the most beautiful shade of pink.I swear it looks like Tracye hooked Adam like a fish!www.LongsPhotography.com
