Susan & Matthew

Matthew has grown into such a big boy since we saw him last!  He is a pretty independent inquisitive guy, but is definitely his mommy’s little boy.  I would never describe him as shy, though!  He came right over to me, crawled in my lap and started playing with the camera.  Maybe I should worry about my job security?? :)

The Cooksey Family

Its time again for the annual Cooksey Family holiday portrait!  Wooo!  :)  Seriously, I always have so much fun with the Cookseys– they make my job so fun and easy!  This year we did the portraits at their home in Southwood.  The kiddos had a super fun time with Mr. Olyn being the tickle monster and I have to admit I got more than my fair share of the tickling!  I just love being able to watch this family grow over the years, its the absolute best!!

Reese & Drew

I have to admit that with a family of boys, it sure is fun to get into the studio and play with the girls!  Dresses, tutus and jewelry are such a great escape from the bugs and mud of being a boy’s mommy!  :)  Reese and Drew were such fun for their session and let me be really girly!  YEA!

Madison & Amelia

Madison and Amelia made the most of their Veteran’s Day– they were in the studio for their holiday portraits and for Amelia’s one year portraits!  We had a great time playing, singing and dancing.  I swear someone could make a million dollars if they put a video camera in the studio and captured all the crazy things we do to get a baby to smile!  And check out Miss Amelia as she shows off her ballet moves– totally unprompted and unposed!

Thatcher’s Halloween

Thatcher has been OBSESSED with the movie “Toy Story” for about a year.  He knows both the movies inside and out, so when asked what he wanted to be for Halloween, there was no debate.  WOODY THE COWBOY!!  So I searched online and found him the most authentic Woody costume I could find.  When it arrived in the mail, he tried it on and thoroughly inspected it.  Only to then demand that he needed real cowboy boots and a pull string sewn on the back.  Yes, he was that anal-retentive about the details.  I have NO idea who he gets that from!! :)

On Halloween, he wore his costume ALL day long, even napping in it.  He truly got into character and quoted Woody any chance he could find.  When it came time to actually go trick-or-treating, we thought the little guy would make it to maybe five houses before getting tired or bored.  He proved us wrong.   From the moment we gave him the large plastic pumpkin bucket, he was determined to fill it to the top.  And he did.  More than 30 houses later and miles of walking, he collected several pounds of candy filling the bucket completely.

Since then, he still wants to wear the costume practically every day, but has zero interest in his candy.  He just needed to accomplish the mission of filling the bucket!  :)  I am so proud of my little man and his wonderful personality… I hope he stays this way forever!!

Annual Halloween Party!

Olyn and I had the most fun at our annual Halloween party!  We had SO many kiddos come by the studio!  The costumes were so funny and creative, I had the best laugh with some of them.  Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us raise money for the Susan G. Komen fund!

Here are just a very FEW favorites from the party!

Casey and Shyla

Casey got married back in September, but unfortunately her photographer’s camera broke just before the ceremony!! She called us and we were happy to do a portrait session for her and her daughter in their beautiful dresses!  It breaks my heart that they don’t have these images from the wedding day, but I am just happy we were able to capture some great portraits of these beautiful girls!
