Lauren and John

Lauren and John had the sweetest wedding on Saturday at Willow Pond Plantation in Monticello.  The details were simple, but the emotion was overwhelming.  While John watched Lauren walk down the aisle he fought back the tears, as did everyone else.  From their personal vows to the choreographed first dance, the couple really focused their wedding day on their love for one another.

Lauren had both her dad and her grandfather walk her down the aisle.  I love these moments Olyn captured just after they stepped out of the carraige and as they walked into the sunlight towards John.laurenjohnw14laurenjohnw13laurenjohnw15laurenjohnw7

After the ceremony, we had a few quick moments with Lauren and John before their introduction at the reception.

Lauren and John showed off their dance skills for their first dance, impressing everyone in the room.  Especially when they first met it took John forever just to ASK Lauren to dance!

The cake cutting got a bit interesting, as they not once, not twice, but three times smashed cake in each others faces.

We braved the mosquitos for just a few moments to create some drama.

The night ended with a bubble farewell!

JoAnna and Chris

I really love small weddings– they are so intimate and emotional and it really allows me to get closer to the guests and the couple. JoAnna and Chris’ wedding was at Willow Pond yesterday and it was the perfect small wedding– everyone there was really close to the bride and groom and many had traveled across the country to be there. It was a wedding that was so much fun– they even tried to drag me out on the dance floor!I loved the Air Force garter that JoAnna wore for Chris.JoAnna went a little untraditional and wore red shoes to match the sash on her dress.I think yesterday was probably the prettiest day of the year… and I have the sunburn to prove it! :) I am a bit surprised JoAnna’s face wasn’t sore, she grinned from ear to ear the entire ceremony.Right after the ceremony, I ran away for a few minutes of alone time with the couple. Chris and JoAnna were so at ease with each other and spent most of the session making each other laugh. The reception had such a cozy feel with all the twinkle li
