Ok, I have to admit… 100+ degrees and an outside wedding makes Olyn and I groan! Holly and Ernesto’s Maclay Garden wedding didn’t sound too great on paper, but Olyn and I had more fun than most of our weddings this year! Holly and Ernesto are an absolute blast– you can tell they really love life and that their lives are filled with laughter. This paired with their laid-back attitudes made for an easy day with lots of opportunities for great shots.
We were inspired almost immediately with the vintage feel of the day– Holly’s lace dress, fab shoes and the 1940’s feeling of the gardner’s cottage all got our minds spinning…

The always awesome Missy Gunnels provided the bouquets:

The ceremony was kept very brief, but I love the laugh that Holly and her dad shared just before they walked down the aisle. I think it is really symbolic of their relationship.

After the ceremony we were able to hide out in the air conditioning for a few minutes before we hit the gardens for portrait time.

The couple had a wine themed reception with cork placecards, wine bottle table markers, and a make your own wine charm station.

Their first dance was just as fun as they are!

I loved what Katie’s Cakes and Catering created for Ernesto’s groom’s cake– a 3D pool table! How cool!

Holly cheated a little bit with the cake feeding…

Their guests were not normal wedding guests– these people could dance! The dance floor quickly became the entire room, as people were literally dancing in any free space they could find!

We ended the night with a few romantic shots outside the women’s club. How can you not love their adorable getaway vehicle??
